Farewell to JoAnn Moore.

The school of business administrative assistant JoAnn Moore is retiring on Sept. 30,

after 15 years at Texas Wesleyan.

Moore said “I never wanted to retire prior; I knew when the time is right, I would know it and this is the time”. Moore will be joining her husband who has already retired. This way she can spend more time focusing and taking care of her husband and herself. Also, she has some upcoming surgeries and will especially need to take time for herself.

Moore said “I also plan to visit my daughters out of state”.

Moore said “I will miss the interaction with students and the faculty the most”.

Chasiti Dixon, also the school of business administrative assistant, has worked with Moore for more than three years. Dixon took the place of a previous administrative assistant. Dixon said her favorite thing about Moore is “listening to her crazy stories and getting a chance to bond”. Dixon said “what I will miss most about Moore is listening to her sing gospel”.

Moore will be training the new administrative assistant. She will be making visits to the campus from time-to-time
